Little Hands, Big Life Skills!

Today’s Community Experience gave our Lollypop Preschoolers the opportunity to make their own sandwiches!

With careful hands, they practised cutting tomatoes, spreading mayonnaise, and putting together their very own sandwiches. Simple tasks like these are more than just fun—they are meaningful opportunities to build independence, confidence, coordination, and essential motor skills.

When children take part in everyday chores and food preparation, they also begin to develop a greater appreciation for the food they eat. Being involved in preparing their own meals can encourage curiosity about ingredients, willingness to try different foods, and healthier eating habits.

Most importantly, experiences like this teach children that they are capable of contributing, making choices, and caring for themselves and others.

Simple chores. Meaningful experiences. Skills that last a lifetime.
